Texas AEL Content Standards - Released in December 2016, the Texas AEL Content Standards is a revision of the 2007 Texas Adult Education Standards and Benchmarks.  The new standards are organized into three content areas - English Language Arts and Literacy, Mathematics and English as a Second Language.   Each content area describes skills and knowledge that adult learners need in order to participate in academic coursework or employment.
