Experience

  • Presented nationally for LINCS, ProLiteracy, and EdTech Center @ World Education
  • Director of Distance Learning, High School Equivalency Literacy Instructor, Professional Development Trainer, and Journeyman 2 Tech Integration Coach for the Literacy Council of Tyler in Tyler, TX
  • Taught Adult Secondary Education and Adult Basic Education Students in both face-to-face and virtual learning environments
  • Trained adult educators teaching strategies and how to incorporate technology into their instruction
  • Moderator for the Integration Technology group for LINCS

Current Duties/Roles with TRAIN PD at TCALL

  • Performs managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Distance Education Professional Development Center (DEPDC) and Call Center, including managing the activities of Call Center staff
  • Delivers training as needed in support of state priorities
  • Provides professional development instructional design support and technology integration subject matter expertise to DEPDC leadership
  • Participates in the evaluation, observation, mentoring, and development of trainers used by TRAIN PD
  • Participates in ongoing Distance Education and Professional Development initiatives to keep abreast of developments and trends in the field
  • Supports other objectives of the DEPDC, including research activities as approved by funder
