| Additional Information: | Houston Community College is the largest single provider of Adult Education in Texas, serving more than 10,000 adult learners annually. Our mission is to provide innovative workforce readiness programs and training to meet the demands of the global marketplace and ensure students see positive change and self-sufficiency. Adult Education and Literacy programs (AEL) help adult learners to acquire the basic skills they need to be productive workers, responsible family members, and engaged citizens. HCC offers reduced and in some cases free tuition in its technical career training programs for in-district students enrolled in AEL programs. The HCC tax district includes the geographies of Houston ISD, Alief ISD, Stafford MSD, and Missouri City.
