Current Duties/Roles withTRAIN PD at TCALL

  • Serves as team leader for the Distance Learning & Technology Integration Institute; converts PD content for engaging online delivery; serves on PD content development work groups for English Language Acquisition and other topics as assigned; participates in trainer observations, evaluations, and mentoring
  • Co-leads (with Molinari) content development for training in Distance Learning implementation for AEL teachers and administrators
  • Acts as PD Center’s team leader for PD needs assessment and evaluation, including development and refinement of participant evaluations of training content and trainer performance; and trainer observation/evaluation rubrics
  • Leads PD Center’s team in preparing training evaluation summaries as required and statewide needs assessment reports as needed; prepares statewide PD recommendations based on statewide and local performance reflected in TEAMS and other data, Labor Market Information, and training evaluation surveys, with Agency input
  • Participates in regular planning and strategy meetings with TRAIN PD team; participates in ongoing PD initiatives to keep abreast of developments and trends in the field
  • Supports other objectives of the PD Center, including providing content for website and Quarterly publication, and research activities as approved by funder
  • Assists PD Director with administration of the Texas AEL PD Portal as needed, including moderation of Communities of Practice
