Current Duties/Roles with TCALL

  • In consultation with the TCALL Principal Investigator/Executive Director, serves as Managing Director of TCALL. Acts as single point of contact to the funding agency to effectively lead and be responsible for program oversight, service delivery, reporting, compliance, and overall program and fiscal accountability. Prepares and monitors annual project budget. Prepares and submits Quarterly and Final Reports to funder. Ensures quality and timely delivery of other contract deliverables and compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Oversees and assigns moderation of statewide email discussion lists for adult education and literacy educators, leaders, and their collaborators. Communicates with state-funded AEL programs to ensure that appropriate AEL program and PD leaders are subscribed to the correct email discussion lists for critical information dissemination and that the state-funded AEL Grantees and Service Providers are represented correctly in TCALL’s Literacy Provider Directory. Coordinates with funder on communications/registration for targeted participants of funder-sponsored statewide meetings and events. Acts as ombudsperson role for AEL Provider leadership and PD Coordinators. Manages TRAIN PD @ TCALL Advisory Committee including recruiting and communications, consulting with the committee via email on major project developments, and encouraging PD team to utilize committee members as informal Subject Matter Experts.

  • Coordinates collaboration with other statewide initiatives (i.e., TWC Capacity-Building Projects, Workforce and Higher Education Partnerships, Faith-Based Literacy, Literacy Texas, Texas Association for Literacy and Adult Education; and national partnerships (such as National LINCS), advisory committees or taskforces; and others as needed).
